Tuludi: Our View

The newest addition to the Natural Selections Botswana Collection, Tuludi, opened her doors in July 2019 and has not stopped wowing guests since.  Situated on the 200 000 hectare Khwai Private Reserve, Tuludi offers the ultimate in comfort combined with excellent game viewing, outstanding cuisine, al fresco a la carte dinner dining, all set under the sweeping African skies and flood plains of the Okavango Delta.

With only 6 double suites and 1 family suite, Tuludi offers a very private exclusive experience, and the enormous hundred square meters of private space allocated to each suite makes it very hard to leave!  The tented ‘rooms’ are decorated in a bright contemporary style, under pitched canvas roofs, and include separate sleeping and dressing areas, outside and inside showers and a gorgeous claw foot bath on the outside deck overlooking the flood plains. Each unit has its own private plunge pool and outside lounging area, just perfect for soaking up the African weather and wild atmosphere.

Tuludi has two in-house executive chefs who never fail to amaze with an almost constant flow of meals and snacks throughout the day and evening.  Meals served at the lodge on the dining decks are a wonderful affair with private tables and a small 3 course a la carte dinner menu, which includes homemade gelato and sorbets – what an absolute treat in the bush, especially when one considers that the entire camp is run only on solar power!

Activities at Tuludi include morning and afternoon/evening game drives, mokoro excursions, and in times of high water, motorboat cruises.  The afternoon game drives continue into the evening after sundowners with a spot light to catch a glimpse of the shy nocturnal creatures, and because Tuludi is on a private reserve off road driving is permitted, so getting to those exciting off road sightings is entirely possible.

Tuludi:  The Details

If you are looking for an authentic African experience with a good strong dose of comfort and style, Tuludi is for you, look no further!  The Khwai Private Reserve has excellent populations of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lechwe, roan and sable antelope and much much more. But it is the predators who really steal the show, with the area boasting healthy numbers of resident leopards, cheetah, lion prides, hyena and wild dog packs. There’s never a dull moment at Tuludi, and the friendly and professional staff will cater to your every need, as you immerse yourself in the magic that is Botswana.

We would highly recommend combining Tuludi with Setari, a pure water camp deep in the Okavango Delta, and finishing off with The Old Drift, Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.  All three of these properties are new, and offer a wonderful level of comfort and service, whilst showcasing very different habitats and experiences.
